What’s the best thing to do about a Will when you are single but have a life threatening medical condition?

This question is from @A_Tones

You should make a Will as soon as possible.  This will give you peace of mind knowing that you have chosen who will look after your affairs and who will inherit your estate.  The Intestacy Rules that apply if you don’t have a Will may not result in your assets going where you want them to.  You should also consider making a Health and Welfare Lasting Power of Attorney so that you are choosing who would make decisions about your treatment if you were unable to do so.
