A tenant has the option to get free cavity wall insulation from her work. Are there any legal issues I should know?

Yes there are some legal issues, but in practice this typically isn’t a problem. There will be mainly contractual issues between the tenant and the landlord. The tenant would need to obtain the landord’s consent. The landlord would need to see a copy of the agreement for the installation of the cavity wall insulation as there may be some long term tie-ins that the property owner may be liable for.
