How does mediation work?
Mediation is a way of sorting out the issues that arise when you separate. It can help each of you put forward your point of view and be heard by the other, and help you to express your feelings without arguments.
In this video Rachel Spencer Robb what is meant by mediation in the separation process and how it can work to resolve issues around finances or arrangements for the children.
Mediation is the most cost effective way of dealing with what happens when you split up.
Because you’re involved in the discussions yourself you know that the deal you achieve is one that you can live with.
You have a great deal of control over the process and so can walk away at any time if it doesn’t work out.
Mediation is not suitable for everyone there has to be trust openness and honesty. Particularly with regard to the production of financial information and it’s still helpful to have independent legal advice along the way.
We can advise you as to what financial information you’ll need.
