Clare Wicke is a solicitor in the Personal Law team where she helps people with everything from drafting their wills, dealing with probate applications, setting up and running trusts and making Lasting Power of Attorney applications. She also deals with Court of Protection applications and advises on lifetime estate planning.

Although Clare undertakes a full range of personal law matters a lot of her work relates to Court of Protection applications and administration of Deputyship orders.

Clare gets a lot of satisfaction meeting clients and helping them with the day to day running of their lives. Personal law can be a real case of problem solving to ensure that we meet our clients’ needs in the most tax-efficient way possible and she describes it as a privilege to be able to help people through what can be one of the most challenging periods of their lives.

Clare studied English Literature at Exeter University followed by the GDL and LPC at the University of Law in Leeds, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2019.

One of Clare's favourite places in the world is New Zealand where she spent a month backpacking after University, one of the highlights of which was doing a 15,000ft skydive.

She is a PADI certified diver and enjoys sailing although she has not yet joined a club in Yorkshire. She is also a keen amateur surfer who has almost mastered standing on the board! She enjoys reading, drawing and going on a good long hike in the Yorkshire Dales with her dog Max.
