Jonathan Gardner is a disputes lawyer based in our Leeds office, who advises on a wide range of commercial litigation and insolvency issues.

Jonathan's commercial litigation work involves assisting clients with commercial disputes including shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, breach of warranties/indemnity disputes, high-value money claims, and interim injunctions.

Jonathan advises creditors and directors/shareholders, as well as acting for liquidators and administrators, in dealing with all issues of corporate insolvency. He also deals with all aspects of personal insolvency, including annulment applications, possession proceedings, suspension of discharge proceedings, remuneration applications, disclosure applications, transaction at undervalue claims, preference claims, and claims defrauding creditors.

In addition, he deals with winding up petitions, statutory demands and applications to set aside statutory demands.

Jonathan qualified as a solicitor in 2024, having studied at both the University of York (LLB (Hons)) and University of Manchester (LLM).

Outside work, he enjoys travelling, watching ice hockey and scuba diving, and he's qualified as an assistant diving instructor.
