Buying the Freehold
Purchasing and managing freehold property
Leaseholders can work together (and have the right) to buy the freehold of their leasehold building and individual house owners can buy the freehold of their houses. This allows them to take over the management and control of the building in which they live and potentially reduce their costs. Once the purchase is complete leaseholders can extend their leases to 999 years increasing the value of their property.
While this is a complex area of law, we make the complex simple. We have solicitors who specialise in helping large groups of leaseholders to buy their freehold, assisting at every stage from working out who wants to join in through to agreeing the terms and completing the purchase.
We help leaseholders understand and be pro-active in protecting their leasehold property. All our enfranchisement work is on fixed fees per flat giving you clear costs at the outset. We are members of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP).
