Based in our Bradford office, Sarah Clayton is an Associate Director at LCF Residential with over 15 years’ experience guiding clients through property transactions of every size and complexity. Her depth of knowledge means she’s often the person clients turn to when a matter demands technical expertise and practical problem-solving.
Sarah advises on all aspects of residential conveyancing, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and new build properties. She also specialises in more complex areas such as shared ownership, bridging finance for individuals and companies, and leasehold matters involving the Building Safety Act. In addition, she is one of LCF Residential’s recognised experts in Sharia (Islamic) finance – a specialist area in which she regularly acts for clients and lenders across Yorkshire and beyond.
Known for her efficiency and responsiveness, Sarah takes a proactive, solution-led approach to every transaction. She understands how stressful moving home can be and works closely with clients, agents and lenders to keep matters on track, removing obstacles before they cause delay.

- Acted for a buyer where the lease contained a defect that risked derailing the purchase. Sarah identified a practical legal solution that protected both the client and their lender, allowing the sale to proceed successfully.
- Advised a company refinancing two properties through bridging finance. Despite the lender’s solicitors raising hundreds of complex enquiries, Sarah coordinated responses efficiently, managed expectations throughout and achieved completion on schedule.
- Resolved a boundary discrepancy discovered during a property purchase by working with HM Land Registry to correct the title plan, ensuring the client could proceed with full confidence in their ownership.
