Our Purpose, Vision and Values

We have refreshed our purpose, vision and value to capture what’s always been true about LCF Law:

  • We genuinely care about people.

This reflects who we are today and will continue to keep us focused as we scale.

Why now? And why does it matter?

We’ve built something strong. A talented team, solid systems and a culture grounded in doing the right thing. As LCF Law moves into it’s next chapter, it’s the right moment to be intentional about what we stand for and how we work together.

None of this is new. We already live these values when we support a colleague under pressure, when we speak up with ideas on better processes or when a clients trusts us to deliver and we do. What’s new is naming them clearly so that we can hold onto what makes LCF Law what it is as we continue to grow.

We want to grow in a way that keeps this a place where people do their best work, build careers they’re proud of and where clients know they’re genuinely looked after, not just served.

These values aren’t aspirational. They’re a commitment.

Our purpose and values already exist in hundreds of small decisions we make each week. The point isn’t to change who you are; it’s to recognise and reinforce what’s already working.

What this looks like in practice – everyday examples

Being supportive: This might mean noticing a colleague’s struggling with their workload and taking ten minutes to help reprioritise. Or keeping in touch with clients between matters, because you know legal issues don’t respect neat project timelines.

Being assured: These principles shape how we make decisions who we recruit, how we develop people, what we celebrate, how we measure success. This will be reflected in appraisals, training programmes and client feedback processes. Not because we’re imposing something new, but because we’re being more intentional about protecting what makes this firm special.

Being creative: It can be as simple as questioning whether a process still makes sense, or suggesting we approach a client conversation differently. The best innovations usually come from people closest to the work who think “there’s got to be a better way.”

These moments happen dozens of times a day across the firm. They’re what turn our purpose and values from nice ideas into the actual experience of working here and working with us.

What changes and what stays the same

These principles shape how we make decisions will changes. Things such as who we recruit, how we develop people, what we celebrate, how we measure success.

The fundamentals that attracted you to LCF Law in the first place will stay the same. These will be the colleagues who have your back, the clients who trust you with their most important issues and the sense that this is a firm that does things properly.

We’re not reinventing ourselves we’re being clearer about who we already are, so we can keep being that firm as we grow.
