LCF Law has recruited its first apprentice as part of a new move to invite prospective lawyers to train in-house and receive a nationally recognised legal qualification.
Caroline Rayner-Jones, joins the firm after leaving school this summer having completed A-Levels in Psychology, English and French. She will study thirteen competence units to attain the Advanced CILEx Level 3 Diploma in Providing Legal Services.
Caroline, who is from Goole, has already gained work experience at a Leeds-based law firm, and carried out personal assistant duties at the Houses of Parliament in London. She passed a gruelling selection process and will work across several departments within LCF Law.
Julie Davis, head of LCF residential, the conveyancing division of the law firm, says: "Caroline has championed a very competitive selection process run by myself and our Information Manager Kate McFarlane. All the candidates were very enthusiastic and committed. Caroline demonstrated excellent potential and we are thrilled to welcome her to LCF Law."
Caroline will receive external support from Damar Limited, the training partner appointed by LCF Law. Jonathan Browne, a Director at Damar, says: "We are delighted to be partnering with LCF Law on its apprenticeship programme. Legal apprenticeships are a great opportunity for progressive law firms to recruit bright young people who have decided against university. We wish Caroline every success in her apprenticeship and her future career."
