Disputes Solicitor David Jones advises on a wide range of property and related disputes, including breaches of lease and freehold covenants, recovery of and challenging rent and service charges, commercial and residential possession claims, rights of way and other easements, adverse possession, tenancy renewals, amongst other things.
In addition, David is able to assist with a wide range of wills, trusts and inheritance disputes.
Disputes accords with David’s problem-solving attitude and the ability to make a difference to a client’s prospects makes every day worthwhile. David has specialised in these areas of laws, as their technical nature allows for a detail-oriented approach and to help clients to navigate what would otherwise be a minefield.
David qualified as a solicitor in 2020, having joined LCF Law in 2016. Whilst with LCF David undertook the Legal Practice Course, with a Masters in Law and Practise at the University of Law, Leeds.
David has assisted clients in high value disputes in a wide variety of sectors and claims. This allows David an overview of the position as a whole so that pragmatic solutions to client’s problems can be sought.
Examples of David’s work include:
- Acting on an application on behalf of several leaseholders to replace the managing agent due its conduct and to appoint a replacement manager to appropriate management of the property and calculation of service charges.
- Assisting a client in a dispute with an ex-partner who had excluded her from the jointly property they owned and seeking a court order to ensure the sale of the property and payment out to our client of her interest in the property.
- Acting for a child against the estate of her late father’s farming estate, on the basis that the will made inadequate provision for her.
In his spare time, David likes to play a range of sports and tries to keep fit. He is also a keen supporter and co-owner of Chester Football Club.
