Jemma Hobson is a solicitor in the Personal Law team based in our Bradford office. Jemma works with clients to plan their affairs for their future. This involves a combination of preparing Wills (including Will Trusts) and Lasting Powers of Attorney, and considering a client’s position in relation to inheritance tax and asset preservation. Jemma also supports and advises clients through the probate process, including dealing with the full administration of taxable and non-taxable estates.
Jemma enjoys working closely with individuals and their families. She loves meeting clients in person and helping them plan their affairs for their future.
She finds it extremely rewarding supporting and guiding clients through difficult and emotional situations. She says, "it's really positive to see clients' perceptions turn around once all is in place and feel reassured that their affairs are in order, so that they do not leave their loved ones in a difficult situation, whether that be due to their death or loss of capacity."
Outside work, Jemma enjoys sports, playing tennis in a local Bradford league in summer and captaining the LCF Netball Team. She also enjoys giving back to the community and volunteers at the Bradford Foodbank and with the Alzheimer’s Society Companion Call Service.
