Jenny is a private client solicitor with a warmth and clarity of approach that clients consistently remark upon. She qualified in 2006, took time away from the profession to focus on her family, and returned to law some 15 years later, bringing with her not just her legal expertise but a depth of life experience that informs how she works with people during some of the most personal and significant moments of their lives. She joined LCF as an Associate Solicitor. She spent the last few years as a leading lawyer in Wetherby, where she worked at a partner level.
Jenny advises across the full spectrum of private client work, including wills, powers of attorney, probate and the administration of estates, including complex and sensitive matters that require careful handling. She works with individuals and families from all walks of life, and takes particular care when advising vulnerable clients, an area she has developed a specialist interest in through her STEP diploma in advising vulnerable clients.
Her approach is intentionally straightforward. She avoids legal jargon, takes time to explain things clearly and works hard to make clients feel at ease often in circumstances that are emotionally difficult. Clients speak warmly of the reassurance she provides:
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you for steering us through what, I now realise, we would never have navigated to this point on our own. Your sound advice and the benefit of your professional experience have been at all times most helpful."
Experience includes:
- Supporting a terminally ill client in putting their affairs in order, working sensitively and at pace to ensure their will reflected their wishes and brought them peace of mind at an incredibly difficult time
- Advising vulnerable clients on wills and lasting powers of attorney, ensuring the right protections are in place and that clients feel genuinely supported throughout
- Handling the administration of complex estates, guiding families through the legal and practical steps involved in a way that reduces stress and uncertainty
- Advising clients on lasting powers of attorney, helping them plan ahead and retain control over decisions relating to their health and finances should they need to
