Sachin Brar is a Commercial Property lawyer based in our Real Estate, based in our Bradford office. He qualified as a solicitor in July 2021, having completed his training between 2019 and 2021.
Sachin advises on a wide range of both residential and commercial property matters, including the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties, commercial leases and transfers of part. He manages matters from instruction through to completion, providing clients with clear and practical advice at every stage.
He acts for a broad range of clients, including a long-standing relationship managing the property portfolio, both commercial and residential, of the Salvation Army, where he has been praised by their surveyors for delivering results within demanding timeframes
Sachin also has experience in more specialist areas of property work, including adverse possession applications, first registrations of unregistered land and lease extensions. He has helped clients complete transactions ahead of Stamp Duty Land Tax rate changes, achieving real financial savings through careful management of deadlines.
Sachin is a strong believer in direct, open communication with clients. He finds that speaking with people over the phone rather than relying solely on written correspondence helps them understand their position more clearly, reduces worry, and builds trust from an early stage.
Sachin's transactional experience includes:
- Acting for the Salvation Army on the management of their commercial and residential property portfolio, including negotiating commercial leases and splitting land for specific purchases
- Advising on the conversion of a house into flats, creating long leases for each unit and overseeing their sale on the open market
- Completing adverse possession applications and first registrations for clients occupying unregistered land
- Negotiating lease extensions, including complex instructions where clients have additional requirements alongside the core matter
- Assisting clients in completing purchases ahead of Stamp Duty Land Tax rate increases, resulting in significant cost savings
- Handling plot purchases on large-scale phased developments
- Managing commercial lease negotiations to tight deadlines, including working with tenants on cashflow pressures and transaction
When he's not working Sachin can usually be found keeping active, whether at the gym, out running, cycling, or playing football. In June 2025 he completed the Northumbrian Triathlon, putting it all to good use. He also loves to travel whenever the opportunity arises while also learning Italian.
