James Nuttall joined LCF in 2026 after working for over 20 years at Lupton Fawcett as their Chief Financial Officer. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in the legal sector, including eight years as Finance Director at a mid-tier law firm. He is ACCA qualified and sits on the firm's board as COFA.
James works collaboratively with the senior leadership team to achieve the best outcomes for the firm, its clients and its people. His expertise spans strategic decision making, financial planning and analysis, cash management and mergers and acquisitions, but what sets him apart is the breadth of perspective he brings to the role. Colleagues describe him as a trusted, reliable presence who sees things through a wide lens, well beyond the numbers, who always tells it straight and has a knack for keeping complex things simple.
