Thomas Taylor is an associate solicitor in the commercial and digital team and undertakes work across a full range of different commercial contracts and IP rights (patents, trade marks, design rights, copyright, and related rights).

Thomas has experience of dealing with a wide range of commercial contracts on behalf of businesses, individuals and charitable organisations including drafting and advising on terms and conditions, service agreements, franchise agreements, referral agreements, software assignments, privacy polices and data processing agreements, amongst many others. Thomas’ expertise also extends to trade mark applications, dealing with the entire process from application to registration, as well as handling trade mark infringement matters.

Recent cases with which Thomas has been involved include:

  • Reviewing and advising on local authority homelessness service contracts for an international charitable organisation.
  • Drafting franchise agreements to assist with the expansion of a national restaurant chain.
  • Advising and amending on manufacturing supply agreements between our local engineering client and their international partners.

Thomas is a graduate of the University of Exeter, having completed his legal training in London and Leeds. Qualifying as a solicitor in 2017, his previous experience has seen him manage a mix of corporate and commercial litigation matters on behalf of large UK and international based clients.

Before qualifying as a solicitor, Thomas lived and worked as an English teacher in both China and Canada and enjoys reading and watching football in his spare time.
