Salary Range: Competitive dependant on experience
Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm 5 days a week.
As a Licensed Conveyancer, you'll manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters while delivering a strong profitable contribution to the department. You'll supervise, develop, and mentor members of your team, supporting their professional growth and ensuring high-quality work across all files. We'll look to you to drive the firm's development in line with our business plan, proactively creating and managing business opportunities that align with LCF Residential's growth objectives and financial performance standards. You'll play an active role in the continuing evolution of the firm, bringing fresh ideas and improvements that enhance our client service and operational efficiency. Training and development are central to our culture, you'll contribute to staff training initiatives while also engaging in your own continuous professional development.
Main Areas of responsibilities:

- To manage all client work allocated by the head of department or other partner and in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards set by the firm from time to time.
- To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously, and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.
- At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner.
- To ensure the confidentiality and security of all the firm’s and client documentation and information.
- To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording.
- In close liaison with the Accounts Department, to have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters.
- To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.
- In liaison with Head of department and other partners, to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos.
- In liaison with Head of department and other partners, to take active part in the marketing, promotion, and development of the department.
- To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm.
- To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.
- To supervise, support and develop immediate support staff.
- To take responsibility for and attend to self-development.
- To act as directed by the head of department in the process of client files and to adhere to the firm’s procedures and Office Procedures Manual.
- To act in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Law Society and Financial Conduct Authority so far as they affect the client work which you undertake.
- In conjunction with the firm, to comply with the relevant training requirements of the SRA and Law Society and to assist with in-house training as may be required

Skills:
- To have relevant experience in handling and processing residential sales, purchases, and re-mortgages with minimal supervision.
- Ability to mentor, support and encourage other members of the department in the process of the department’s client files.
- Team building and people management skills.
- A pleasant but assertive manner in dealing with colleagues and clients, tact, and resilience.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Efficient and well organised with good control of diary systems and competence in the firm’s computer systems and case management.
- Maintain Licenced Conveyancer qualification
